Executive Relocation Reluctance
The number of unemployed managers and executives that relocated for their new job was only 6.9 % in the third quarter compared with 13.4% in the same quarter last year according to a survey of about 3,000 successful job seekers conducted by outplacement consultancy Challenger, Gray & Christmas.

Great Recession Hiring Trends
Unemployment remains intractably high given the recessionary economy. Uncertainty about governmental oversight, taxes and healthcare legislation are major concerns for many employers further dampening companies’ confidence to hire. Employers who are hiring are ultra-cautious about who it is they hire which is another problem contributing to high unemployment. Companies are hiring more temporary, part-time and contract workers. In fact part-time workers now number almost 10 million the highest on record.
